INAUGURATION OF MUSALIAR ALUMNI CHAPTER, QATAR

The Musaliar Alumni Chapter, Qatar was inaugurated by the Hon. Chairman, Musaliar College of Engineering & Technology, Shri P I Sherief Mohammed, on 02/01/2026 at MRA, Salwa Road, Qatar in a grand way with participation from Musaliar alumni of 2006 batch to 2024 batch students.

The programme was attended by 35 alumni’s and their family members, who introduced themselves and shared their initial struggles, subsequent growth, blossoming into successful entrepreneurs and highly placed engineers and executives in premium enterprises and government organisations.

Many of the Mechanical and Electrical alumni’s have found placements in the Gas & Petroleum fields, and most of the alumni’s are settled with their families.

It was a wonderful rendezvous of sharing ideas and opportunities in Qatar, which is a booming economy, and after the FIFA World Cup, many westerners have settled in Qatar and flow of tourists from other countries multiplied, opening up avenues for young talent. I exhorted them to be successful in any job, you have to be a PhD — passion, hunger, and discipline — and in the unfolding AI scenario, technological updation becomes an imperative for survival.

The Alumni meet was coordinated by Sulu, Jabir, and others and the dinner came with many spreads and moderate luxury. I have requested them to be helpful to our new expats in housing, job market, and render timely assistance to them in Qatar.

The meet ended with the accompaniment of music, laughter, jokes, pranks at MCET, and a group photo of close amalgamation in a single Musaliar Frame.
