Dr. Priya G. Das is a distinguished academic and researcher with over 30 years of experience in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. She holds a B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics from Kerala University, an ME in Control Systems from Bharatiyar University, and a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from IISc Bangalore. Dr. Das retired as the Head of the Electrical & Electronics Department at NSS Engineering College, Palakkad, where she had a prolific career marked by academic excellence, leadership, and research contributions.
Research and Publications
An active researcher, Dr. Priya G Das has published around 25 papers in both national and international conferences and journals. She is a registered research supervisor under Kerala Technological University, guiding numerous postgraduate and undergraduate projects. Her research interests include Control Systems and Electric Vehicles, and she has delivered invited talks on these subjects at reputed institutions.Her research interests include Control Systems and Electric Vehicles. Her research interest include linear,nonlinear ,adaptive and optimal control,optimization techniques,soft computing techniques such as neural network and fuzzy logic and control of electric vehicles
Dr. Priya G Das is a Life Member of several prestigious professional bodies, including the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and the Institution of Engineers (India). She has been recognized for her contribution to academia, receiving the Best Paper Award at ACCODS 2007 and multiple appreciations for her role as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the NPTEL local chapter, achieving an “A” rating for the college’s performance.
Dr. Priya G Das’s career journey spans from a Lecturer in 1992 to a Head of Department, covering various roles including Professor and Associate Professor. Her leadership tenure at NSS Engineering College, Palakkad, is noted for significant contributions in both academic and administrative capacities. She has been involved in curriculum development, research supervision, and department accreditation, reflecting her commitment to academic standards and innovation.
