The new and innovative idea of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department students and faculty members is getting recognized. The new initiative aims to give rebirth to unused petrol and diesel vehicles through green energy. Petrol and diesel vehicles that are behind the state pollution control norms Bharath Stage-4 cannot be used on the road again after the registration period. The students and faculty members of MCET have discovered the technology to convert these vehicles into low-cost means of transportation that do not pollute the environment. The students have converted an old IC engine into an e-vehicle.

The initial steps have been taken to get the converter kit developed by the students, approved by the Start-up Innovation Center of the college, and manufactured on an industrial scale in collaboration with the Startup Mission of the State Government.

A concept created by B Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering final year students Mr. Pranav P, Ms. Archa Gopan, Mr. Aal M A, and Mr. Bibin Varghese.
