Welcome to the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering! Our department is dedicated to providing students with a comprehensive education in the rapidly advancing field of electronics and communication engineering. Our courses are designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the fundamental principles of electronics and communication engineering, as well as opportunities to explore specialized areas of interest such as wireless communication, embedded systems, signal processing, and more.

Head of the Department

With over 18 years of teaching experience, he has dedicated his career to educating and inspiring the next generation of engineers.

Starting his teaching journey at Shahul Hameed Engineering College Kadakkal in January 2005, Prof. Vinod C has since worked as an associate professor and HoD at the Providence College of Engineering in Chengannur. Alongside his teaching, he has also gained valuable work experience as a communication engineer with JetAirways in Bangalore.

With a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication and a master’s degree in Applied Electronics, Prof. Vinod C has honed his expertise in a wide range of challenging subjects. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in biomedical signal processing, showcasing his unwavering commitment to advancing knowledge in his field.

As a respected educator, Prof. Vinod C has organized numerous national and international events and has supervised countless student projects at the B Tech and MTech levels. He has also coordinated various faculty development initiatives and workshops for students and teachers alike.

Passionate about signal processing and machine learning, Prof. Vinod C continues to push boundaries and make significant contributions to the field. Currently pursuing his Ph.D. at APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University in Kerala, his dedication and enthusiasm for electronics and communication engineering are an inspiration to all.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (PO)
Engineering Graduates will be able to:
PO1-Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering Fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering Problems.
PO2-Problem analysis: : Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex Engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, Natural sciences and engineering sciences.
PO3Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions
PO5Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6The Engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
PO7Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Musaliar College of Engineering and Technology promotes research in the frontier areas of science and technology. The department encourages its faculty members and students to bring out creative ideas and to implement it as mini projects, course projects and main projects.  The faculty members in the department are actively involved in research activities and can therefore guide the students toward research activities with confidence. The department promotes the publication of student projects and faculties research in Scopus indexed conferences and journals.
